How can you take one image like a image of a classroom and then seperate the tables and desks in oth
In photoshop I copied an image of a classroom but I would like to seperate the desks and the tables from the classroom picture that is in one layer?

Wow, that will be quite the task!

If you want to try first get either the gimp (http://www.gimp… or Adobe Photoshop. next, you will want to use (probably) the lasso tool. you would then go around each desk/table. by creating a new layer an cutting/pasting your selected table one by one, then you could separate them from the background. If you are using Adobe Photoshop, look up the feature called quick mask. it will allow you to use a paint brush to "paint" your selection.

I hope that helps. There is lots of information on making layers, and selecting, and this whole technique if you search google too. Search terms like selecting objects, or extracting objects may help you find more information. I only looked for a minute but found two sites. Try looking at http://photo.ne… there seem to be some techniques that might work for you, although they are quite advanced. http://www.deve… might also prove useful to you.
